Fight Wrinkles, the Natural Way…

While some people get amazed by the results they get from using high-end and innovative beauty products, others like to search for natural ways to fight aging signs. In fact, there are all-natural ingredients that will work as good as those high end products and make your skin look younger, smoother and healthier – you just have to know what to look for.

To help you in this quest, here’s a list for you:

1 – Nothing is better than retinol to fight wrinkles. Though it is derived from vitamin A and naturally exists in our skin, the kind used in most anti-aging products is synthesized. That said, we should be aware that vitamin A will make our skin look orange, so it’s better to look for a product created by a company that uses natural, organic and botanical ingredients.

2 – Try sunflower, pomegranate or camellia oil as they contain antioxidants, protect against future skin damage when applied over sunscreen and promote collagen production.

3 – White tea and green tea are rich in an antioxidant known as EGCG that helps fight wrinkles and increase cell turnover. So mix green tea powder into brewed white tea to create a face mask and apply the latter on your face, as the Chinese do.

4 – Like Indian women, start off your day with a warm cup of ginger tea – obtained by mixing some shredded ginger and honey into some hot water. While honey has natural anti-bacterial properties and helps reduce inflammation, ginger is rich in an antioxidant called gingerol that helps protect against collagen breakdown.

5 – Like all women in Mexico, mix together sugar and lemon juice to create a scrub you can apply to your hands – as it is believed that the hands are the first to reveal your real age. While the sugar crystals act as exfoliators, lemon juice contains natural anti-aging treatments.

6 – French women opt for grape seed extract, which boosts the level of antioxidants in the blood, protect the collagen and elastin in your skin.
