Fancy in Flats – The Do’s and Don’ts

Every girl likes to feel feminine in heels; it’s just how the world works. A bit bloated, are we? Wear awesome heels with your outfit and feel like you have Naomi Campbell’s infinite legs. Have a party you need to attend? Just slip into your favorite pair of heels! It just seems like it’s the perfect solution to any problem… that is until you come home one night to find that you have so many blisters on your feet, and wonder if you blacked out at some point and did a load of acrobatic moves. Let’s leave the discussion of your blackouts for another day. Today, enter the ever-so practical flats; not only will they look fabulous, but more importantly, they will cozy and comfy up those blistered feet in no time.

Since there is no way you haven’t spotted this trend by now, we’re assuming you’re thinking of ways to wear it tastefully- yes, it’s a win-win for us all!

Do replace your nice heels with sparkly and funky flats, which you can lavishly pair with a cocktail dress. From sequins to rhinestones or bold brooches, choose your flats wisely.

Don’t stick to casual sandals, as you’ll end up feeling like you’re going to the pool.

Do adopt the backless slides trend; and hey, your choices are endless, from Gucci’s funky slides to Bottega Veneta’s classic ones.

If you’re not into ballet flats, then do go for flat Mary Janes, also known as the fancier version of ballerinas. Indeed, with so many strap styles, they make your outfit go from nay to yay!

Do pick pointed ballerinas. The triangular form will turn your look into a total winner without making you opt for high heels.

Don’t underestimate the power of some classic loafers. Pair them with a maxi dress and you are golden!

And if you’re showing off your toned legs, then by all means, do pick some lace-up sandals to go with your high-slit dress!
