Eyeshadow Mess

If I had to tell you which products take up the most space and get the least use in my collection, I would say the good old eyeshadow palettes. Whether you’re receiving these as a gift, or running out to buy the latest and greatest, these take up so much space and barely get used! Don’t get me wrong, some are great and I love them, especially for travel, but every time I open them, I find myself only reaching for a few of the same colors.

That said, I really wanted to get on the palette-train, but didn’t know how, until I realized that one of my favorite brands has a similar idea, and I could have all the colors I love and use, in one “palette”.

So, I’m obsessed with MAC’s Pigment in “Nude” because it gives you the perfect pop, and is such a nice light tone. I have tried so many different eyeshadows, but I have to admit, MAC really is my favorite. I love their shadows because they are a bit denser and don’t cause fall out if you are careful. And here’s the best part, MAC sells these pans of eyeshadows and you can make your own palette! I really love this idea. So basically, you pick your favorite MAC eyeshadows and then an artist helps you create your own little collection. Et voila, your perfect eyeshadow palette!

As for my crease, I usually use one of the colors in my Anastasia contour palette, which are matte bronzy shades. I originally bought this to contour, but I admit I rarely contour, so now it has been repurposed for my lids.

Moral of the story? Instead of buying every palette that comes out, make your own and share your color choices. You never know, maybe you will be the next sensation in palette world!
