Discover Shiseido Essential Energy with Dr. Nathalie Broussard

With the start of this new season, Shiseido skincare is entering a new era. The leading beauty brand is pushing the limits of science even further and taking a new challenge, neuroscience. After exploring the science of aromachology – which relies on the sense of smell, Shiseido discovers the sense of touch and its associated biological effect to release a new beauty breakthrough, Shiseido Essential Energy.

Who better than Dr. Nathalie Broussard, Shiseido Group EMEA Scientific Communication Manager to take us through this new release? Designed for all women above 30, the Essential Energy range is for those “who dream of an ultra-effective skincare product to intensely moisturize the skin, reduce dehydration lines and lastingly improve radiance and vitality”, she said.

When asked about the challenge that was to create this new skincare product, she answered: “this new range was a real challenge in particular to find a technology able to act on the nervous system and to integrate it in pleasant textures”.

“Thanks to the ReNeura TechnologyTM, Essential Energy products help the skin better detect and transmit information to the nervous system in order to encourage an effective reaction to stimuli. As a result, over time the skin becomes more receptive to applied skincare products and is capable of responding more efficiently to heighten the efficacy of active ingredients,” Dr. Nathalie Broussard explains.

This line features a day and night gel-cream with a light and fresh texture ideal for normal to combination skin, a day and night cream offering a more comfortable and rich texture to better suit dry and very dry skin, as well as a day cream that could be the perfect daily “city” skincare with UV protection and a specific active ingredient to avoid pollutant particles sticking on the skin. It has two common features: texture providing a smooth application and the exclusive and patented ingredient “Moisture Locking Oil” that has a high spreading power and leaves a smooth, non-sticky finish.
