Cartier Turns the Ordinary into Precious

Only the imagination and creativity of a masterful jeweler can turn everyday items into precious jewelry pieces by perceiving their hidden beauty. This vision sets the tone in a way or another for Cartier’s Juste un Clou and Ecrou collections. This year, the renowned French jewelry house reinterprets the first nail bracelet created by Aldo Cipullo for Cartier New York in the 1970s and unveils the Ecrou bracelet and Juste un Clou torque necklace.

In celebration of these novelties, artist and Photographer Cerise Doucède produced a visual performance that highlights her inspiration by the Cartier bracelets. It’s with a pair of suspended works that she embodies the artistic value of nails and nuts, which the house turned from humble hardware to coveted precious jewelry pieces – creating a revolution in the world of jewelry since their conception.

Before you book your ticket to Milan in order to attend the 2017 edition of Salone del Mobile, the Photo Gallery below will provide you with a preview of the installations and Cartier’s novelties.
