It seems like purses are getting smaller and smaller and our cellphones are getting bigger and bigger. This doesn’t leave much room for the usual lip suspects we like to carry around. Lip balm, lip liner, lipstick and lip-gloss sound like a lot to lug around, and let’s face it, most of the time we don’t even end up reapplying. Enter the lip crayon! Most of these lip “sticks” have been around for a while, but there are also some new ones on the market. Let’s go over a few favorites and newbies.

NARS Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil in Pop Life is oh so perfect for the holidays. The beautiful red shade is great because we all know the trick to the perfect red lip is a good matching liner. This is basically a two in one because you can start off by lining your lips and then just color them in. 

Clinique Chubby Stick Intense Moisturizing Lip Color Balm in Curviest Caramel is one of my favorites for a quick every day lip on the go.

Lancôme Color Design Matte Lip Crayon in 320 Partner in Crime is a bold pink that looks matte but doesn’t feel dry.

Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Dusty Pink is a perfect winter shade paired up with a mauve blush. 

Want to use a dark shade but are more of a natural look type? Tarte LipSurgence Skintuitive Lip Tint in Energy Noir will definitely make you feel edgy. But not to worry, it goes in pretty sheer.
