Winter is all fun and games until it starts raining and you’re at risk of ruining your shoes and your hair. Enter umbrellas. The most functional, anti-rain and wintery must-have accessories. But what would you do if we were to tell you that umbrellas weren’t just invented to keep the rain away? Yes, just as it seems, umbrellas were initially created to protect women from the sun and were considered as a strong symbol of femininity. They were later redefined as waterproof accessories to protect any kind of wearer – male or female – from the rain.
