Since it’s in moments like these when the world needs the most our collective efforts to help alleviate pain and provide as much support as we possibly can, The Giving Movement was between the firsts to stand with all countries impacted by the devastating earthquake of 6 February 2023: Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Cyprus. The Dubai-based label is joining the UAE and the world in providing aid by sending 8,000 pieces of TGM clothing to Turkey for immediate relief. Since thousands lost their homes in the midst of winter, the donations included clothing essentials like hoodies, jackets, socks, windbreakers and more in packages that include pieces of all sizes for women, men, children and babies. That’s not all, as the brand is also inviting the region and the world’s biggest fashion change-makers to join the movement and multiply the impact of the donations, starting together with PANGAIA, Namshi, and Nike – asking them to nominate in turn 3 brands to do their part.

However, the brand is also urging and encouraging the community to step in and support other campaigns and donate to keep the help flowing announcing that some of the requests are winter clothing, gloves and scarves, boots, hygiene essentials, diapers, canned and non-perishable foods, tents, beds and mattresses, blankets, sleeping bags, portable stoves and heaters, thermos, flashlights and generators.
