The Fashion World Stands Against Racism

With everything going on in the world, between the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, and the recent protests in the US denouncing the killing of George Floyd and demanding change because #BlackLivesMatter, it’s only natural for the fashion world to take part and speak up as well!

Needless to say that these are just some of the brands as there are many more who joined the movement as well like Yves Saint Laurent, BOSS, Nike, Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani – to name a few.

We’re used to Dior’s daily posts on Instagram on its different accounts. But as a show of support, their latest posts were just three black pictures stating a very important message and expressing zero-tolerance of any form of discrimination.

As for Miu Miu and the Prada Group, they also raised their voice against injustice.

Louis Vuitton shared a video that holds the same message and encourages people to fight racism.

Fendi’s Instagram account is “dressed” in black highlighting their fight against racism with the signature hashtag #BlackLivesMatter.

Both CHANEL’s official account and the CHANEL Beauty account on Instagram put up their black images and stopped posting as a symbol of solidarity.

Dolce & Gabbana took a break from posting on its Instagram account with the black images as their latest posts, and declared that the House is working on a way to be part of the solution the world needs to face this crisis.

Gucci showed its support with a commitment to stand in solidarity with the Black community. They also started donating to different organizations, and took the 4th of June as a day off to mourn and honor the people lost.
