The entire world is fighting COVID-19 and the fashion industry is no exception. As we try to stay hopeful and fill our hearts with positivity, our favorite brands come to make these trying times easier and draw a big smile on our faces each in their own way. From brands joining the #StayHome campaign and closing their stores in different corners of the world, to others donating resources and funds in order to help fight this virus – not to mention all the celebrities who decided to give back some love through donations and beautiful initiatives- we are looking at a fight we are surely going to win. Louis Vuitton also took part in the fight and repurposed its workshops in France to produce hundreds of thousands of non-surgical protective masks for frontline healthcare workers.
- Sergio Rossi announced that 100% of all online sales go to support the fight against the virus. Indeed, a shoe can make a difference!
 
- Since precaution is the best way to fight the coronavirus pandemic, the much-awaited Cannes Film Festival was postponed – showing solidarity in these difficult times.

- With a $15 million donation, Nike decided to fight COVID-19 in Oregon, Boston and Memphis, as well as some overseas cities.
- Scheduled to take place on May 4th, the Met Gala was also postponed amid corona fears, showing social responsibility as the virus continues to spread.

- After highlighting the risk of shortage in hydroalcoholic gel in France, LVMH announced its support by producing through its Perfumes & Cosmetics brands – Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain and Parfums Givenchy – large quantities of gel, which will be delivered to the French health authorities.

- Showing social responsibility as part of the fight against COVID-19, Dior also postponed its Cruise show, which was set to take place in Italy’s Lecce on May 9th.

- Through an Instagram post, Blake Lively announced that she and her husband Ryan Reynolds will donate $1 million split between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada to show support to people in need in these trying times.

- Gucci fights COVID-19 pandemic by donating €1 million to the National Civil Protection Department in Italy and another one million to the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund in support of the World Health Organization.
 
- Bvlgari supports the Italian authorities in the fight against COVID-19 with a generous donation of hand cleansing gel with sanitizer produced by its long-term fragrance-manufacturing partner ICR.
 
- In light of this pandemic, CH Carolina Herrera and Purificacion Garcia’s textile manufacturer Sociedad Textil Lonia announced the production of medical materials to support this fight.
 
- In an Instagram video, Hugo Boss showed support for the fight against COVID-19 by manufacturing 180,000 masks in the brand’s clothing production site and these will be donated to public facilities.

- Ralph Lauren also joins the fight by donating $10 million to help communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
- A pioneer in beauty and well-being products, L’Occitane decided to reassign some of its facilities to produce 70,000 liters of hand sanitizers to donate them to health authorities and healthcare workers in France.
