The Bath of Dreams

A visit to the spa every once in a while is a great way to unwind and pamper ourselves. However, sometimes it’s a dream to stay home and enjoy some time alone. And a great way to do so is by preparing a bath that is too good to be enjoyed outside your home sweet home but not too hard to be prepared with a few simple steps.

  • Bring the spa ambiance to your bathroom by lighting candles and spreading them around the place. This will create a calming and serene ambiance that you’ll fall in love with!
  • If you like to read a book or a magazine, place a towel on the side of the tub in order to rest your hand on it and avoid getting the pages wet. Watching your favorite series on Netflix is also a great way to relax and enjoy your time, just make sure to place your laptop or ipad on a chair.
  • Before you get in there, don’t forget to bring a beverage to enjoy. Think of something comforting such as a hot cup of cocoa or a cup of tea.
  • There’s nothing like bath salts that can sooth your sore muscles. In fact, they will certainly make your experience more spa-like!
  • Nice scents are known for making you feel better. With this in mind, the best way to take your bath to a whole new level of perfection is adding a few drops of essential oil, so get those ready – along with some rose petals – on the stand beside you. My favorites are lavender and rose.
  • You can also benefit from your bath time by taking care of your skin. So, get that mask you’ve wanted to apply for so long ready too!
  • For a more luxurious experience, prepare your fluffy bath robe to cover up once done.
  • Now that everything you want is ready, run some hot water along a few drops of essential oil and rose petals and simply relax.
  • Before getting out, remember that now is the perfect time to exfoliate as you’ve been soaking in warm water for like an hour. Get your exfoliating gloves and give your body a scrub. Don’t forget to hydrate after you’re done!
