Style Your Headscarf like a Pro

So headscarves…not a big fan of things that might or might not ruin your hairstyle? Fear not ladies, headscarves don’t have to bring you a sense of impending doom every time you think of wearing them. Quite the contrary in fact; if you style them right and choose the best way to highlight your hair and features, you might just get to a fashion nirvana!

That said, there are countless of ways to wear a headscarf. All you need to do is master all the tying and knotting techniques and to separate your day-scarves from your night-scarves. And if you ever run out of inspiration, just think of the fabulous ways our favorite celebrities are wearing these headpieces, from Cara Delevingne to Eva Mendez and so many more. Scroll below to read our tried-and-true tips!

Do steer clear from other trends, such as the baker boy cap or the new fancy beret. If you’re a beginner, just start by tying a scarf to your ponytail. That way, you’ll start applying the headscarf trend by doing baby steps.

Don’t be scared to experiment. It’s a daring trend and just as it seems, the hippie style is always the most convenient one if you usually prefer to let your hair loose. Just fold the scarf until it forms a thick headband and tie it around your head in such a way that it covers your forehead.

Do go for turbans. Channel your inner diva style and wear a turban for a sassy night out with the girls.

Don’t worry about looking too flashy. As long as you make sure your outfit goes with said headscarf, you won’t have to worry about a thing. After all, a colorful scarf can bring joy to an otherwise monotonous outfit.

Do pull a Hollywood-diva move by wrapping a silk scarf around your head in such a way that it covers your hair by tying it at the front. And if you want to ride in a convertible car and let your scarf fly away, don’t let us stop you.
