Schiaparelli Fall/Winter 2023-2024 Ready-to-Wear

To create the perfect Schiaparelli wardrobe for Fall/Winter 2023-2024, Daniel Roseberry faced a challenge, that of designing modern clothes while honoring the founder’s codes and steering away from reducing the creations to logos in an age of rampant branding. Looking at Elsa Schiaparelli’s heritage of back-then “viral” moments, the collection's chicness was heartfelt and sincere.

An entire wardrobe was presented, featuring everything from crisp white poplin shirts to short velvet cocktail dresses – all infused with Schiaparelli’s trademark wit, irreverence, and drama. Sharp tailoring, graphic knitwear, subversive denim and supple leather were embellished with trompe l’oeil ornaments and gold hardware – two elements that have always been a signature of the House, and were combined with traditionally masculine fabrics and a palette of winter whites and rich browns.

In terms of accessories, the collection featured the all-time classic Face Bag, a new baguette style – The Schiap – that alludes to the design of the house’s groundbreaking 1937 fragrance, Shocking, new shoe offerings, as well as bijoux that saw this season the introduction of lilies and oyster shells – to name a few. And in this crossroad between fashion and accessories, Schiaparelli once again succeeds at blending what’s forever in style with what’s perfectly of its moment.
