Savoir-Faire Behind Louis Vuitton’s FW 19-20 Key Pieces

Louis Vuitton’s prestigious savoir-faire comes alive time and time again within a series of bespoke pieces unveiled during the Maison’s Fall/Winter 2019-2020 runway show. One would only expect authenticity, timelessness and ingenuity from a House that has long prided itself with an intricate and thorough know-how, and this collection in particular was no exception to the ever-so established rule.

And so, the Maison takes us through the making process of its key pieces, from the Cannes bag Monogram LV Pop – a reinterpretation of Louis Vuitton’s two emblematic canvases, the Damier canvas and the Monogram canvas, using a leather printing technique – to the BB Mini Luggage Bag reinterpreted in black and white Damier with pop colored details in smooth leather, the Belted set ensemble in wool cloth with a mesh insertion requiring 10 hours of work by hand and finally the Monogram LV Beaubourg.
