Piaget Design Competition Chapter 2

For the second year in a row, Piaget with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), HEAD – Genève (Geneva University of Art and Design) and Turquoise Mountain held the “Piaget Design Competition Chapter 2” in AlUla. After last year’s great success, all four continue with their mission to implement an initiative to support and invest in the artisanal talent of Saudi Arabia’s next generation of creatives. This time, the participants had to design a pendant, earrings, bracelet and a ring that has to be inspired from Al Ula’s magnificent landscape and heritage sites, while using of course, Piaget’s expertise in jewelry design and craftsmanship. Ongoing mentoring led the program through great talents like Stephanie Sivriere, Piaget’s creative director, and professors and students from HEAD – Genève.

The results showed Aeshah Mousa Alshallali in first place, Ruba Hamzah Abu Alhasan in second and Reem Aziz Alanzi in third, and each one of them was praised in particular for their skills. However, if you know the least by now about this competition, you’ll be sure they are not the only ones to shine.
