We’re only on the second day of the Salon de la Haute Horlogerie International and we’re already astounded by the beautiful selection of watches unveiled. The first day of the Swiss Salon was a huge success and upped the ante for other brands to follow suit. And so, this time around, Swiss luxury watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier continued its promise to satisfy the world’s biggest connoisseurs, be it with its fine craftsmanship in the field of horology or with its unique knack for innovation and technology. And innovative and highly creative the brand’s collection was!

Indeed, for 2019, the brand has taken one of its most iconic complications – the perpetual calendar – and has placed it in its most timeless watch, the Toric. The latter hence features a precision moon phase and retrograde perpetual date, making it the most complex and accomplished of calendar timepieces.

Another timepiece on our radar must definitely be the Tonda 1950 Lune for women, featuring mechanical complexity which creates an ultra-thin self-winding movement comprising so many time indications. With these qualifications in mind, the Tonda 1950 Lune is both a technical and aesthetic novelty.
