Miu Miu Spring-Summer 2019 Collection

It’s at the Palais d’Iéna that Miu Miu’s Spring-Summer 2019 collection was unveiled, and more specifically at the heart of a three-dimensional space featuring the brand’s new ephemeral symbol designed to look like a face, a flower or a pet.

The collection was an expression of Miuccia Prada’s surrealism, as models walked down the runway wearing Mary-janes and knee-high socks – all of which were a testament to the designer’s successful attempt at making fashion very fun. There were croco leather coats, blazer dresses and snakeskin midi skirts paired with sheer blouses and plaid blazers. The juxtaposition of styles and fabrics resulted in a parade of funky and colorful pieces, from the dresses that were upholstered with big overzealous bows to the organza pencil skirts matched with knit jumpers. There was something about clothes that said “make fashion your own playground”; indeed, each and every piece was a reflection of the different personalities of the MiuMiu woman, i.e the one who knows how to revel in the whirlwind of styles.
