Metal VS Boar Brush

I’ve always used a Boar brush to blow dry my hair for as long as I can remember. But every time I went to get my hair blown out, I saw them using a metal brush, and it seemed so easy to use. I finally decided to get one of my own, but I realized I wasn’t a fan of how my hair turned out. I have to say it seemed to dry much faster and easier to use, but made my hair a little frizzy. I realized I must be missing something, so I decided to do some further investigation by asking a few hairdressers. So it turns out that Boar hair is good for thick hair because it really grips it. On finer hair, a metal thermal brush is great because it’s easier to blow out.  A metal round brush also adds more volume since it stays hot and styles while you blow dry. The tip I learned is getting the best of both worlds. A metal brush that has boar bristles mixed in is the best option for our Middle Eastern hair. So now, after trial and error, I just use the metal brush for a quicker blow dry. It works perfectly when I plan to go over my hair with either a curling iron or a flat iron.
