It’s all about the eyes for Spring-Summer 2019, and not in an ordinary way but the haute couture way! Yes, the eye makeup game during the past few days was so strong on the Parisian runways that we felt mesmerized by some and empowered by others.

While some looks got us daydreaming in the most feminine and elegant of ways, some others proved that wild, bold women are queens nowadays. Feathered eyelashes were the epitome of packing a statement in Valentino’s world and the smokey eyes invaded so many shows such as Stephane Rolland, Georges Hobeika, Elie Saab and CHANEL – to name a few, proving that this look is an all-time classic that stylishly adapts to any woman’s audacity. Black eyeliner was at the heart of Dior’s and Giambattista Valli’s beauty looks, while red pen added an unparalleled touch of glamour in Giorgio Armani Privé’s show.

However, don’t you just love it when designers set new trends that leave us in awe? Well, Jean Paul Gaultier, Tony Ward, Givenchy and Alexis Mabille did just that and bedazzled us. Talk about the charm of glitters at Givenchy’s show, and at Jean Paul Gaultier’s, the eyeshadow territory was expanded – leading to a look that is worthy of a fairytale. Black audaciously mingled with a touch of blue on the lid of the models and black eyeshadow landed on the lids of On Aura tout Vu’s models, leaving traces of gold shimmer on their foreheads.
