The Louis Vuitton “spirit of travel” is all about a quest for freedom and adventure that takes place on the other side of the world. After travelling to the Caribbean, Louis Vuitton heads to Palm Springs, California to find a natural location to shoot its Cruise 2016 campaign. The legendary Bob and Dolores Hope estate hosted the house’s Cruise 2016 show last May and now serves as a backdrop for the campaign’s images.
Who better than actresses Michelle Williams and Alicia Vikander to embody the many facets of the LV woman? Captured by the lenses of celebrated fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier, these leading ladies are photographed with the iconic Twist and Capucines handbags, as well as Nicholas Ghesquière’s new City Streamer, which was unveiled during the Cruise 2016 show.
Shot in the city’s desert, the images depict a breathtaking landscape of raw space. Coupled with a Gordon von Steiner video, these images will be featured in magazine issues this November. The campaign is available for viewing on the Louis Vuitton website and the Louis Vuitton Pass application.
