Is Louis Vuitton envisioning the future? Indeed, the French House might just be imagining a new tomorrow, but on Planet Earth, and more specifically at the Cour Carrée of the Louvre in Paris.
The main courtyard welcomed a star-studded list of show-goers, all of whom were eagerly waiting for Nicolas Ghesquière’s next collection. In two words? Pretty awesome. Think a stylish version of The Jetsons being portrayed onto oversized jackets, puffed sleeves and high-wasted trousers. The garments featured sketches and drawings of future-like elements and pops of colors resting boldly on tees, shorts, rompers and trousers. The looks were also complimented with strong-shouldered blazers, leather gilets and pointed leather boots. Even the handbags had a little of the whole “galactic babe“ vibe going on, what with the bold colors and said futuristic elements.
Our verdict? We all just want to get in our flying space car and head to Louis Vuitton-land.
