Virgil Abloh’s debut collection for Louis Vuitton menswear was unveiled in Paris amongst the industry’s biggest names and it was as good as we expected it to be.

It was the beginning of a new chapter for Louis Vuitton, one that speaks to the younger generation in the best way possible. Models made their way onto the stage in garments that gave them identity and that consequently showed their true colors. There were a lot of t-shirts, but even more sneakers; the whole collection was based on a sporty attitude that matched the House’s undeniable elegance all-too perfectly. Western jackets were a thing, while cotton trench coats made a vast appearance throughout the show. Of course, Louis Vuitton’s insignia was all over the place, as a nod to the House’s moniker logo. Colors were off the charts as the runway was filled with pops of red, yellow and silver – amongst other tones.

The show received a standing ovation and eventually, will surely receive a lot of praise as the House’s new chapter begins.
