Lanvin Appoints Bruno Sialelli as its New Creative Director

Following the speculations about the house of Lanvin, the Parisian label has finally appointed 31-year-old French designer Bruno Sialelli as its new Creative Director, who will assist in the re-evolution of the brand, instilling its timeless codes with a modern and contemporary lingo. Indeed, Sialelli’s modern vision for Lanvin has earned him a spot at the helm of the Parisian label and he is now a part of a brand new chapter in the house’s history.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Bruno as the new Creative Director of Lanvin,” says Jean-Philippe Hecquet, Lanvin’s Chief Executive Officer. “His singular and very personal vision, his audacity, his culture, his energy and ability to build a strong creative team definitely convinced us. I can’t wait to discover Bruno’s first collections which will fully bring back to life this beautiful and unique fashion house, and once again inspire a passion among our customers.”

The designer, who was previously working as Menswear Designer Director at Loewe, had also an extensive experience as Pre-collection Womenswear Designer at Balenciaga, working under both Nicolas Ghesquière and Alexander Wang, before becoming Senior Womenswear Designer at Acne Studios, and then at Paco Rabanne. His ability to effortlessly transition between menswear and womenswear will help break barriers and flows well with Lanvin’s DNA.

"I am delighted and honored to join Lanvin, a house founded by a visionary woman who among the first French couturiers dared to offer a global universe with a very wide field of expression. Bringing emotions through compelling stories and defining a modern attitude are going to be exciting challenges in continuing this legacy,” explains Sialelli.
