The silk scarves were definitely one of the pieces that most stole our hearts during the ready-to-wear Fall/Winter 2021-2022 show and today we’re given the chance to know all about their making in the House’s Italian Ateliers. First, through colorization done with the method of pen engraving, both the House’s emblematic codes and some of the works Italian artist Pietro Ruffo created for Dior are transposed onto fabric. Second, the silks are repeatedly passed through a halo of steam, then washed in successive baths until the ideal desired look and feel have been achieved. Then, they are cut by hand into squares that are frayed or rolled in a final finishing touch.

Simultaneously a turban, a headband, a bandana and a 70s style headscarf, these silk scarves come on top of our accessories’ list with their uniqueness. Try them on yourself through the augmented reality lens made available on all platforms!
