  • Indian weddings are like marathons. They can last many days and require major stamina. You’ll be dancing the nights away too. Sometimes rehearsals are scheduled with the couple, but if not why not learn some moves on your own so you can flaunt them at the parties? There are tons of Bollywood playlists on Youtube to choose from.
  • The celebrations are loads of fun, but don’t forget they are a religious affair after all.
  • A gift is appreciated as in all similar events, but at an Indian wedding, it definitely holds a bigger value. So, make sure to think of one as you take into consideration of course the couple’s preferences.
As a fashion lover like you, you’re probably looking for advice on what to wear; fear not as we got you covered:
  • As we already mentioned, it’s a religious celebration so make sure to dress modestly.
  • Keep your attire as colorful as possible and avoid wearing black (which is associated with bad luck) and white (which is typical for funerals).
  • Accessorize with flower crowns, jeweled headpieces, and tons of gold and silver bangles and necklaces. The more the merrier!
  • Don’t forget to bring a scarf or something similar to cover your head during the ceremony; this goes for both men and women.
The number of traditional acts the couple chooses to fulfill defers from a wedding to another, from a Henna party, to a Sangeet, Choora, Wedding and Reception, but needless to say you will definitely get to experience the art of henna, new foods and flavors and a lot of amazing traditions. Make sure to put your whole heart into it, and believe me this will be an experience you will never forget!
