How To Wear Pantsuits…Femininely

Yes, pantsuits are all we can think of. It doesn’t matter if they’re wide-legged, structured or even cropped; as long as they’re all matchy-matchy with superb blazers, we want them now.

And while we’re all for the whole androgynous-craze, there’s always a little voice inside our head that wants us to channel our femininity in all its glory – can we blame it? Street style stars have proventime and time again, that wearing a pantsuit doesn’t have to look conservative, nor formal. You can totally pull it off with the right shoes and accessories and still look like you’re a chic woman on the go. Just look at our favorite style icons, such as Cara Delevingneand Gigi Hadid; the two models have been spotted wearing tailored suits with sky-high heels and lavish jewelry, rendering their outfit ten times more poised and feminine than any other attire. And here’s how you can do it:

  1. It’s all about how you mix-and-match the pantsuit. Wear a monochromatic suitlayered on top of a silky blouse and leave the rest unbuttoned.
  2. If you’re not into layering, you can always button up your suit and wear it on its own for a savvy night out. To spice it up, add a choker to highlight your neck and chest.
  3. The shoes are an essential accessory in this situation. Make sure you pick the right soles. If you’re into heels, then go for some elegant embellished pumps or some minimalist mules. If you’re more of a flats-kind-of-girl, then do wear stylish slippers or pointed-toe ballerinas.
  4. Pick colorful suits and shine your way through the streets. This season’s favorite colors range from pastel hues, to rosy tones and yellow shades.
  5. Pinstripe suits are always in.
  6. Make sure your bag creates a contrast with your suit. If you’re wearing a black pantsuit, then go for a metallic purse or another striking color – think red, pink, yellow or even patterns.
  7. But most of all, always remember that the more you dare, the more you’ll slay.
