How to Take a Picture-Perfect Selfie
I recently walked into the bathroom and saw my niece taking a selfie. The pressure of having cute selfies can really get to a teenager. When I was at that age the class photo was the only time we felt this. We had to wait weeks to get the prints to see if we looked ok. I assured my niece that I will teach her how to take the perfect selfie, so here it goes. My best advice is to have a genuine smile. When someone is happy, they just light up and look beautiful. But let’s face it, sometimes bad lighting can make you look terrible. So, make sure there is a nice natural light or you are in a room with good lighting. I like to have the light behind the camera and facing me. Raise your arm and try to elevate it as much as possible for that perfect angle, making sure your neck is elongated and your posture shows off your confidence. The beauty of technology lets you see your pics right away. Take some test shots and see what your best angle is. Have fun with some filters, don’t worry we won’t tell!
