Layering Fall’s most eclectic trends can be quite the headscratcher. Fashion endorsers make it seem so easy, yet we always find ourselves in a rut when we try to do so. Do the fabrics go together? Are the pieces making us look plump? Do the colors even match? So many questions, yet so little time!

It might not be the most practical trend out there, but regardless of it all, its allure seems very fashion forward and alluring. And so, style connoisseurs have been on the hunt for the perfect layering options in an effort to facilitate the task for the fashion lovers of the world. To help you out, we’ve made a small list of the must-have tactics to layer like a true queen. Scroll down for our golden rules!

1-If you’re still not over that flirty dress you got yourself during the summer, then there’s no need to toss it in the back of your closet just yet! Just throw it on top of a delicate turtleneck and you’ve got yourself a warm look you can count on!

2-Always go for a colorful sweater to compliment your winter jacket. Not only will it create a beautiful rhythm, but it will also shower your look with a pop of attitude.

3-The oversized denim jacket is your friend. Embrace it and pair it with anything, anywhere.

4-Why not pair a plaid flannel with your little black dress? The combination makes an alluring overall look and tones down the sharpness of the bottom item.

5-Extra-large blouses and delicate cardigan? Yes please!

6-Don’t forget about the ever-so famous slip dress! This season’s secret? A neutral sweater to warm things up.

7-Just because you’re wearing cropped flared trousers doesn’t mean that you can’t wear ankle boots! Layer these two items together and you’ll look like you just walked out of an Instagram post.

8-Lastly, use the puffers to your advantage. They’re not only reserved for your ski trips. Pair them up with a skirt or a dress and achieve that androgynous look you’ve wanted for so long!

Happy styling!
