Hermès Presents Black to Light High Jewelry Collection

Black to light… a name that perfectly describes Hermès’ new high jewelry collection unveiled in Paris. And if you’re looking for additional explanation, Creative Director for Hermès Jewellery Pierre Hardy has one: “I envisaged black for its ability to expose light, as a counterpoint to the brilliance of the diamonds and to accentuate the purity and effectiveness of the forms.”

Thanks to the expertise of the house’s gem cutters, setters and polishers, this contrast was made possible. In fact, crafting black stones demands extensive work and each setting requires high levels of meticulousness and concentration. It’s magic in the making, as once the piece is finished, the dark gems will establish an unparalleled balance in the piece – highlighting its pure lines, light, sensuality and one-of-a-kind aesthetic. Here’s when the combination between black gemstones and rose gold reveals its beauty, as well as the charm that lies at the heart of the “Black to Light” collection.

With these novelties, Hermès pushes the boundaries even further. The harshness of black jade and black spinel meets the feminine flair brought to light through the use of rose gold in stunning creations that redefine modern high jewelry. Join us to check out some of these contemporary marvels.

The collection will be available on display in the Hermès Faubourg boutique in Paris until July 13th.
