Here’s How the Second Edition of Oud Fashion Talks Went

After a very exciting wait, Oud Fashion Talks finally took place in Kuwait for the second year in a row. This second edition was even better than expected and the least we can say is that it left us in awe. The insightful discussions related to the fashion and creative industries focused on essential topics such as nurturing a supportive infrastructure for young designers and analyzing the region's luxury market. However, these were only one of many elements that made OFT this meaningful, so let’s start from the beginning.

The event started with a dazzling Gala dinner at the newly inaugurated Grand Hyatt hotel where guests were greeted with warm Kuwaiti hospitality, featuring captivating folklore performances and offering invaluable opportunities for networking and collaboration between local creatives and international experts. The second day was the official launch day during which panel discussions took center stage, featuring experts and influential figures who have significantly contributed to Kuwait's fashion scene and the wider region. Not only did they result in building a bridge between Kuwait and the international realm of luxury, but also in shedding light on the transformation of the fashion landscape in the region and the evolving nature of luxury retail in the GCC.

Emerging local fashion designers were also brought to light through a captivating exhibition held at Jaber AlAhmad Cultural Center, thus providing a vibrant space for conversations and networking opportunities with talented Kuwaiti designers, complemented by a modern-style coffee break at CAF Café. And on the last day, engaging workshops were held for the younger generation seeking to expand their fashion knowledge and learn from industry leaders.

All in all, the second edition of Oud Fashion Talks turned Kuwait once again into a shining star on the fashion map.
