Gucci Fall/Winter 2020-2021 Ready-to-Wear

If you’re looking for the perfect way to kickstart fashion week, then Alessandro Michele is your guy. See, Gucci is the hub of ingenuity and Alessandro Michele sees this creativity and doubles it. Epically! His rendition of the Italian House’s codes and values takes on a new dimension, as he introduces “an unrepeatable ritual” - perhaps in his own world, a ritual where backstage is actually the stage. Indeed, as soon as show-goers stepped into the hub, they took part in all the backstage action, watching models get ready for the grand show. So one would only expect your run-of-the-mill runway show, right? Wrong.

As the show unraveled, everyone was enticed with the melody and the rotating platform that revealed models getting dressed with the help of an unbelievable crew. But not just any crew, consider it a circus crew. The clothes, might you ask? As cinematic as the setup sounds: there were big voluminous and ruffled gowns, the House’s epic headpieces, a few ripped jeans, sheer bodices and everything that Alessandro Michele Prides himself with.
