Give Your Hair a Break

Sun and heat are most probably the most damaging elements to your hair. And to keep it as healthy as possible, every woman needs to write a list of resolutions that she must follow strictly in order to go through summer with amazing looking hair!

  • It’s very important to get a trim at the beginning of the season, but if you didn’t yet, better late than never!
  • While at the beach, you must know that your hair – just like your skin – needs protection. Therefore, a hat is one of the first things that should go into your beach bag.
  • To avoid dry hair, start using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
  • Before taking a swim, don’t forget to wash your hair with clean water and apply a leave-in conditioner. This will keep your hair from absorbing salty water.
  • Since it’s summer and the weather is hot, avoid using hot tools on your hair, such as flat irons and blow dryers. Indulge instead in the freshness of this season to show off your natural, healthy hair and explore the latest hair accessories trends to keep everything under control.
  • Avoid washing your hair every day.
  • Avoid dying your hair with very light colors such as blond and grey. The damage of the sun paired with the one caused by hair bleaching is quite a lot. You surely don’t want to go there!
  • Opt for nourishing hair masks and if you’d rather go for a natural substitute, coconut oil is undoubtedly the best.
  • Last but not least, if your hair is very dry and frizzy, apply a leave-in conditioner to it in the evening, wrap it with a plastic cover or a towel and keep it on overnight to wake up with a tamed, frizz-free and hydrated hair!
