For Spring-Summer 2021, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup Peter Philips let the eyes do the talking.

“I wanted to focus on the eyes and emphasize them powerfully by framing them with very dense, matte black eyeliner,” he explained.

With this in mind, the complexion was natural and luminous and perfecting it called for a hydrating routine consisting of Capture Totale C.E.L.L. Energy Super Potent Serum followed by Capture Totale C.E.L.L. Energy Firming and Wrinkle-Correcting Creme. After blurring the flaws with Dior Backstage Face & Body Primer in 001 Universal, Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation was applied and the face touched up with Dior Forever Skin Correct. 

For the eyes, which were the main focus of this look, Peter Philips used the 5 Couleurs Couture palette in 649 Nude Dress to subtly shade the upper lid, and traced an emphatic line of eyeliner along the upper and lower lashes with Diorshow 24H Stylo in 091 Matte Black – creating a strong graphic look. To further reinforce the look, he coated the lashes in Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara in 090 Black while kept the eyebrows natural looking with a light touch of Diorshow Brow Styler and Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Brow.

Lips were also kept natural. They were first smoothed with Dior Lip Sugar Scrub in 001 Pink then hydrated and heightened Dior Lip Maximizer in 001 Pink. The nails followed their lead and looked equally natural with Dior Vernis in Muguet, so did the hair which was at times paired with head scarves and at other, headbands with small veils.
