It’s all about the rich and expressive eyes at Dior’s Spring-Summer 2019 Couture Show. Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup Peter Philips chose to complete Maria Grazia Chiuri’s haute couture creations with “a dark and graphic messy look, with a pattern that blends a punk aesthetic with a dreamy Pierrot feel,” as he explained.

Want to know how to achieve this makeup look? Since the emphasis is on the eyes, start off by curling your lashes and circling your eyes completely with a thick black line using the Diorshow On Stage Liner in Matte Black. Then, draw a vertical line aligned with the pupil that goes down in order to create the Pierrot effect. Move on to smudging the sharp lines and blurring the edges using Crayon Eyeliner Waterproof in Noir Trinidad, then apply a line of Diorshow Khôl in Black to the upper and lower waterlines.

For the complexion, use the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation and Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer for touch-ups. Like your skin, keep your lips natural. So, prep them with Dior Lip Sugar Scrub in 001 Pink and Dior Lip Maximizer in Pink, then tone the shine down just before going out. Nails should also follow the “keep it natural” rule, making Dior Vernis in Muguet the perfect option.

Finally, the hair! In fact, the latter was concealed under hoods to which were attached small, pale-colored net veils strewn with colorful crystals.
