For Dior’s Fall/Winter 2018-2019 Haute Couture collection, Creative and Image Director of Dior Make-up Peter Philips created a natural makeup look using products from the Dior Backstage line.
The complexion was prepared using the right shade of Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation, a touch of Diorskin Forever Undercover Concealer, a dash of Flash Luminizer to add a touch of light and lastly, some fine dusting of Dior Backstage Glow Palette Universal in No001 Powder. When needed, he sculpted the face with the lighter shades from the Dior Backstage Contour Palette.
The eyes were given a hint of emphasis with the Dior Backstage Eye Palette in No001 Warm Neutrals. While the softest shades – which are Shimmer Pink and Matte Pink – were used on light skin tones to subtly open the eyes, Shimmer Purple and Matte Pink were used on darker skin tones. The eyebrows were naturally defined and shaped with Diorshow Brow Styler and Dior Backstage Brow Palette.
The lips were made up with the Dior Backstage Lip Palette in No001 Universal Neutrals and depending on the skin tone, Peter Philips either chose Gloss Pink, Gloss Beige or Gloss Blush to make them look discreet and plumped.
While the nails were kept natural and bare, the hair – styled by Guido Palau – was tied low at the nape into long cylindrical ponytails, with elastics criss-crossed throughout the lengths.
