Get the CHANEL Beauty Look of Michelle Williams at the Oscars

Angela Levin, the talented makeup artist at CHANEL, was the one behind the beauty glam of the gorgeous actress Michelle Williams at the 95th Academy Awards. With the House’s distinguished products, she applied a makeup look like no other, and we were lucky enough to get her guidelines to apply it ourselves as well.

Inspired by red magic, being beautiful, sexy and mysterious, all while bringing out good intentions, love and creativity, she resorted to the CHANEL N°1 de CHANEL and CHANEL La Voix Du Rouge, Spring-Summer collections. And since proper skincare guarantees long-lasting makeup, she started by spraying the CHANEL N°1 de CHANEL Revitalizing Serum-In-Mist on a clean face. And with the tips of her fingers, she applied the CHANEL N°1 de CHANEL Revitalizing Essence Lotion in a small circular motion. After that, she applied the CHANEL N°1 de CHANEL Rich Revitalizing Cream and let it settle into the skin for about 5 minutes.

Then came the base. She started by applying the CHANEL N°1 de CHANEL Revitalizing Foundation in B10 all over the face and blended it down to the neck. Its texture allowed her to add a very small amount of the CHANEL Ultra Le Teint Ultrawear All-Day Comfort Flawless Finish Foundation in B10 in the areas that need a little more coverage, like the T-Zone. Next, she added a touch of CHANEL Le Correcteur de Chanel Longwear Concealer in B20 in a swipe and feathering motion with the CHANEL Les Pinceaux de CHANEL Foundation Brush N°100 on the inner and outer corners of the eyes, nose and lower lip. As a final step here, she ensured the application is light and airy by blending everything together, removing any excess foundation with the CHANEL Les Pinceaux de CHANEL Foundation-Blending Brush N°102.

Afterward, she moved to the cheeks to which she applied the reddish shade of the CHANEL Les 4 Rouges Yeux et Joues Eyeshadow and Blush Palette in Caractère with the CHANEL Les Pinceaux de CHANEL Contouring Brush N°109. And after gently contouring along the cheekbone, back and forth in a straight motion and feathering up towards the eyes, she tapped the cheeks with the CHANEL Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in Rosée creating a half-moon shape. Then for a magical glow, she added a touch of the CHANEL Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in Transparent along the top of the cheekbone. To end the complexion work, she dusted a light amount of the CHANEL Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder in 12 all over the face and neck, for a flawless long-lasting look.

As for the eyes, she started by mostly tapping the light golden color from the CHANEL Les 4 Rouges Yeux et Joues Eyeshadow and Blush Palette in Caractère on the eyelid with the CHANEL Les Pinceaux de CHANEL Flat Eyeshadow Brush N°202. She then mixed the darkest shade onto the crease of the eye, creating a round shape, and blended the eyes with the lighter bronze color by dragging it to the top and bottom lash lines, serving as a base. To get the smoky look she then switched palettes to continue with the CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Natural Eyeshadow Palette in Tender and applied the darkest shade onto the lash line with the CHANEL Les Pinceaux de CHANEL Angled Eyeliner Brush N°206. As for the sparkly pink shade, she added it to the center of the eyelid to emphasize the round dimension of the eyes. After, she continued to use the highlighting shade under the brow and the inner corners of the eyes. To blend all the colors together, she used the medium mauve taupe shade and feathered it outwards, concentrating on the contoured areas.

Next, it was time to prepare the eyelashes for mascara so she started by curling them with the CHANEL Le Recourbe Cils de CHANEL Eyelash Curler and then applied 3 coats of CHANEL Le Volume de CHANEL Waterproof Mascara in Noir. The eye makeup part was concluded by her collecting the mascara from the spoolie with CHANEL Les Pinceaux de CHANEL Angled Eyeliner Brush N°206 to stain the upper and lower lash lines, acting as an eyeliner.

In order to get a long-lasting look for the lips as well, she started by using the CHANEL Le Crayon Lèvres Longwear Lip Pencil in Nude Brun to line the lips, she feathered the color inward and used the brush that comes with the pencil to blend it in. After that, she used both CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colours in Ardente and Magnétique to achieve the perfect color: one layer of the Ardente first as a base followed by gently running the Magnétique along the upper and lower lips. And after a rub of the lips together and one blot with a tissue, all that was left was to give the lips some luster with the CHANEL Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick in Transparent that she tapped onto the center of both her upper and lower lips giving them some additional fullness and brightness.
