At the north of Amman is Jerash, where the most impressive ancient ruins are found. In fact, you should not miss the chance to visit the remains of the Roman city of Gerasa. From the amphitheater to the arches and plaza, this archeological place is the most well-preserved ancient Roman site outside of Italy.
