Fall Wedding Guest Dresses – Runway Inspirations

It might not be a common thought – well since weddings usually occur during the summer – but the fact is, there are still a lot of nuptials being held in the dead of winter. And it hasn’t gone unnoticed that designers have been taking advantage of this fact to promote their Fall/Winter designs. After all, is there anything more charming than a sumptuous velvet gown? Or perhaps, an asymmetrical long-sleeved dress showing off your curves in all the right ways? We think not. The good thing about it is that there are so many choices out there that we can barely wrap our brains around them.

That said, weddings are the perfect occasion for a woman to revel in the glory of billowing gowns and we won’t be the ones denying her this pleasure! So for all you ladies racking your brains to find the perfect fall-wedding dress, worry not. We at Azyaamode have rounded up one too many runway inspirations in the Photo Gallery below.

Have you ever watched an animated series where its characters dance on the beach in flower crowns and long tasseled skirts? Well, this is Hawaii and believe it or not, it would be a great destination for your wedding with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean making for a perfect backdrop.

Second on the list is Goa, which brings together fun, adventure and peace in one of the most picturesque beach scenes in the world. No matter which resort or beach you choose, this place in India will never fail in making your big day a great one.

No list of beach wedding destinations can exclude Greece and more specifically Santorini. If you are looking for a romantic venue surrounded by the sea and beautiful scenes in blue and white, this is definitely your place to be.

Looking for an island where you can also stay for your honeymoon and relax? The Maldives will definitely offer you an experience like no other. With privacy and luxury taking over your wedding day, your expectations of a dreamy wedding will be exceeded.

The Wedding Guest Dresses You’ll Need for a Day Wedding

So you have a day wedding? You’re a lucky gal! There’s nothing better than a few rays of sunshine to make a wedding day even more joyful and merry. We all know the run-of-the-mill wedding trend that most couples go for: the evening ceremony accompanied by buffet/ongoing celebrations. But nowadays couples are looking for different ways to highlight their nuptials in unconventional and more casual settings.

Some people go as far as tying the knot in unexpected places, such as the top of a mountain, or at the beach, and others like to go the typical way. While we think every couple prefers a certain scenario, a day wedding sounds awesome for the ones looking to add a little spice to their ceremony. Even the issue of finding dresses for the wedding guests that fit the occasion is easier than your typical “evening-affair” wedding. After all, guests can go from maxi gowns to midi dresses and mini ones. To help you out, we’ve scoured 10 lovely dresses that’ll take you through the day wedding in elegance and poise.

Say Yes in an Off-the-Shoulder Bridal Gown

Ah the tremendously hectic dilemma of “which dress should I wear to my wedding” … the happy, yet overwhelming rite of passage that almost all brides have to go through. The thing is, you can consider it a “problem” and spend your bride-to-be days as a nagging bridezilla, or you can go the high-road and look – albeit really closely – at the silver lining: shopping can really be fun!

But let’s discuss the bridal trends first; there are many cuts that have made it to the must-have bridal list, but if there’s one that will forever be timelessly elegant, it’s the off-the-shoulder trend. There’s something about showing off your bare shoulders that is so discretely sophisticated, that most brides automatically go for it. And while it’s an otherwise predictable go-to choice, one cannot dismiss its popularity and well, it’s flattering form. Whether you decide to go for a princess-cut off-the-shoulder bridal gown, or a more pared-down volume, bare shoulders fortunately go extremely well with all styles. From puffs of lace to embellished fabrics and so much more, we’ve scoured the best off-the-shoulder bridal gowns to have hit the Spring-Summer 2019 bridal runways. Happy wedding shopping!

What Your Bridesmaids Are Not Telling You – 5 Things That Annoy Them

Having a good and solid bridal party is probably the best thing you can have – after the groom of course. So it only seems fair that the bride tries her best to please her bridesmaids, correct?

So bride-to-be, this time around, we’re addressing the conversation to you. Whether you like it or not, there are some things that you’re doing – although unintentionally – that might be really putting off your bridesmaids. You’re probably thinking to yourself right now “but it’s my day”. Well it is, but paying close attention to your bridesmaids’ feelings is of dire importance.

So, we’ve noticed that there are a few crucial details that can really annoy your bridal party if you don’t pay attention to them. Scroll down to find out more…

  1. The inevitable dress. Sure, the thunder is yours, but don’t go picking the absolute worst dress for your bridesmaid(s). Here’s the thing, while we know you have your bridesmaid’s interest at heart, you sometimes tend to forget about three important factors: her body type, her style and her financial standing.
  2. The hairdo. You know how you personally want to look your ultimate best when going to a wedding? Well so does everyone else. So you can understand if your bridesmaids want their hair done in a certain way, can’t you? That said, if you impose a common hairdo, you’re going to get burned at the stake.
  3. Ah, the shoes. The issue of height and whatnot has always been an impending question for the bridal party. What do you do if one of your bridesmaid is taller than you are? Well first things first, don’t undermine her. So what if she’s taller? You’ll be the queen of the ball with the fairytale dress either way, so don’t sweat it.
  4. Being ungrateful. If there’s one thing we know about bridesmaids is the length they would go to keep the bride happy. That could range from organizing the bachelorette party, the bridal shower and to helping out with the wedding itself. So failure to thank them is a big no-no.
  5. Finally, getting all worked-up if one of your bridesmaids can’t attend one of your many events. Don’t forget that we’re in the 21st century, which means you probably have friends from the four corners of the world. So say you’re organizing a big celebration and your living-abroad bridesmaid can’t make it; What would you do? For starters, don’t break out in hives – it’s nothing personal, we all have lives of our own and the important thing is that she makes it to your wedding.

The Ultimate Wedding Planning Checklist

He popped the question, you cried your eyes out and now you have a beautiful ring on your finger. Awesome. But now, fun time is over – so to speak. You’ve got so many events to plan that you need to keep your head in the game.

There are a lot of factors that can ultimately make the wedding planning process more bearable – from the support of your family and friends, to the love you get from your husband-to-be and finally the infamous checklist. It might seem like a drag right now – I mean who wants to write down a checklist and be reminded of the hoard of chores – but it’s really the safest way to get all things done. While some would say to leave it all to fate and to not overstress about it, others argue that it would be far less overwhelming to break down the entire process, bit by bit. The good news is, you have a year or more to plan the wedding of your wildest dreams so try to relax as much as you can instead of blowing it all out of proportion – like we all tend to do.

So bride-to-be, brace yourself for some serious mind-blowing organization procedures.

  1. First things first: determine your budget. Obviously, that’s something you need to do with your fiancé. We know doing the math is not the most enjoyable thing to do, but fear not, there’s a fairytale wedding for every budget.
  2. Once you’ve got the first issue sorted out, it’s time to prepare the guest list. Now whomever you invite to the engagement party, you’re going to have to invite to the wedding as well. And no, you don’t have to invite every single person you’ve said hi to in the past year. Start by writing down the names of your family members, your fiancé’s, your friends and then add whoever you wish to add.
  3. Now this is perhaps one of the most important part of any wedding planning process: the wedding planner. In order to hire one, you should really consider your options; ask around, word-of-mouth is the best feedback you can get.
  4. Pick a venue and set a date. It all depends on the theme of your wedding, come to think of it. If you want a beach wedding, you might consider looking for a venue by the beach and so on.
  5. Now that you have that figured out, think about the caterer, the photographer, the florist and the DJ (or live band). But these are all tasks the wedding planner will easily help you do, along with the multitude of other decisions.
  6. Once all the above points are handled, you can proceed to the wedding dress dilemma and select your options.
  7. Register for the wedding list. Enough said.
  8. 6 months before the wedding, consider choosing your bridesmaids dresses.
  9. Send out save-the-date cards to all your invitees – you don’t want to be late for that.
  10. Four months before the wedding, start checking out the invitations to organize the table and settings.
  11. Select and order your cake – yum.
  12. Three to two months before the wedding, you should start booking hair and makeup appointments.
  13. Touch-base with all your organizers, suppliers and other appointments.
  14. Send out the invitations and check-in all the RSVPs.
  15. Try to stay sane and remember, you’re not alone!
