Before flying to Mumbai to showcase the amazing Fall 2023 collection, Dior’s atelier witnessed the real magic first. Many high-end techniques and the finest materials were used – as usual – and the result was clearly breathtaking. From an exclusive angle, we got the chance to explore the savoir-faire of the classic Aari technique which is executed with over 300 different genres in the House. With an Aari, the hook needle, threads and materials meticulously completed the collection’s marvels no matter how small they were. In fact, micro beads and micro sequencing were purposely chosen for the threadwork and were effortlessly appliqued to keep the garments light all while ensuring a larger impact through the embroidery. As for the selected color palette, it was a typical Indian one with the Rani pink, the Jamuni purple, and the yellow gold, but with a very global overall effect.

Bringing back the sixties, and shedding the light on more metallic elements and larger flowers, Dior masters the idea of being more celebratory.
