Everything You Need to Know About Self-Tanning

GCC countries are known for their sun, and with tanning being women’s go-to beautification technique, it’s the paradise of bronzed skin. However, some of us are just not big fans of sitting at the beach under the sun for hours on end, or simply don’t have the time to do so. That said, using self-tanners is the only way to make that sun-kissed skin dream come true!

These beauty marvels seem so easy to use but in fact, there are some tips that give you better results and here are some of them!

-Self-tanner options are numerous, as well as their formulas. While some come in the shape of a mousse, others are more like creams. Pick your absolute favorite and make sure to choose the one that lasts as much as you want it to!

-It’s very important to prepare your skin for self-tanning. Avoid waxing and using oil-based products before applying your self-tanner, but make sure to take a warm shower and exfoliate your skin – especially the rough areas such as elbows and knees.

-Shaving is key before applying a tanning lotion. This will prevent the formation of dark spots on your skin after the self-tanner’s sets in.

-Try to apply your self-tanner before going to bed. The tan will develop during the night and you’ll be able to wash the excess off in the morning.

-Use a glove to apply your tanning lotion in order to prevent your hands from turning orange.

-Ensure even application by applying the product using light circular motions. Thin layers can be built up.
