Elie Saab Celebrates the Wedding of Elie Saab Junior and Miss Christina Mourad

This July we witnessed the wedding of Elie Saab’s eldest son Elie Saab Junior to Miss Christina Mourad in the Lebanese designer’s home country Lebanon, and more specifically in the mountain resort of Faqra. What to expect from a designer that never fails to steel our breath away with his creations? Nothing less than a series of sophisticated celebrations that are now the talk of the world!

The festivities started on July 18th with a themed Oriental pre-party at the Plateau de Bakish, during which Christina looked stunning in a cream jumpsuit paired with a gold cape from Elie Saab’s Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2019-2020 collection. The next day, the couple tied the knot during a religious ceremony followed by a cocktail party organized by Neiman Azzi. The beautiful bride donned an Elie Saab Haute Couture custom sleeveless tulle embroidered gown made of ivory silk and champagne lurex threads embellished with 500.000 sequins, a high-neck bodice and a 4.5-meter trail.

The celebrations continued with an evening party organized by Ziad Raphael Nassar that took place at Faqra Club. The 1200 guests included A-list celebrities and friends of the family, such as Dita Von Teese, Chantal Thomas, Karolina Kurkova, Nadine Labaki, Toni Garrn, Lily Donaldson, Elissa, Nancy Ajram and Assi Hilani. For this party, the bride looked stunning in Elie Saab Haute Couture gold and beige rosé heart-shape corset gown with a voluminous skirt and a 3.5-meter trail inspired by the Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2019-2020 collection. And for a sparkling feel like no other, this masterpiece was embellished with 650.000 gold sequins and 150.000 Swarovski strass pieces.

To end these memorable festivities on a wonderful note, Mr. Elie Saab welcomed the guests to a party at his residence in Faqra on the 20th. The sunset to sunrise celebration witnessed the bride wearing a stunning aquamarine flowing silk georgette full length dress from the designer’s Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2019 collection.
