You are, they are…heck we all are! And we’re not talking about a “lose 10 kg in 3 days” kind of diet, we’re talking about that smart, well-calculated way of dressing that makes you look like you’ve just walked out of a fashion shoot. If there’s one thing celebrities do right – apart from their inimitable choice of other halves – it’s dressing the right way. Sure, they have their own stylists, but haven’t you ever wished you knew how to accentuate your best features in the best way? We know we have! And while it may seem like an impossible thing to do, we’re here to tell you that the only impossible thing is you not wanting to do so.

So ladies, with all the delicious food you’ll be consuming this festive season, we’ve decided to share with you some tried-and-true tips to make sure you’ll be looking your best – despite the automatic holiday weight gain.

 

  1. Display more skin between the chin and the chest with a V-neckline. The aim here is to put the focus on your feminine allure by elongating your silhouette and giving the illusion of a slimmer figure.
  2. Go for monochrome outfits. In other words, choose one color and let it be your guiding rule for the rest of the day. Synchronizing one particular color can make it seem like your figure is as elongated as ever!
  3. If you’re a big fan of stripes, then you must steer clear from horizontal ones. Pick vertical stripes that can give off the impression of a taller-than-thou silhouette.
  4. If you’re wearing an oversized dress, cinch it at the waist with a stylish belt to show off your sultry waist.
  5. Don’t underestimate the effect of shapewear. They actually work and they’re worth investing in, especially if you’re wearing a bodycon dress.
  6. Wear an all-black outfit. Enough said.
  7. Go for pointed-toe, thin-heeled pumps – they make your calves look thinner and more elongated!
