Diorissimo is the fragrance that she wore on her wedding day and Dior’s gorgeous fashion creations are what she donned her entire life. Therefore, needless to say how loyal Grace of Monaco was to the House of Dior, and it comes as no surprise for the house to pay tribute to this royal icon through an exhibition.
Entitled “Grace of Monaco, Princess in Dior”, the exhibition, which retraces the moments when Dior was her companion, will be held from April 25th to November 17th, 2019 at the Christian Dior Museum in Granville. The princess was especially fond of Marc Bohan’s collections, and this longstanding and cherished relationship led the princess to become the sponsor of the first Baby Dior Boutique opened in 1967.
These strong links were not exclusive to Dior fashion, as fragrances also played a big role, which explains the nomination of Founder of Dior Perfumes Serge-Heftler Louiche as “Director of the Société des Bains de Mer de Monaco”. On each occasion, bottles of the royal couple’s favorite fragrances were redesigned in such a wonderful style that they came in the shape of giant monogrammed bottles, exceptional Baccarat editions and antique treasure chests.
