Daytime-Perfect Subtle Smokey Eye Look

Nothing in the world of beauty can create the effect achieved by a smokey eye look. That said, a full on smokey eye is a bit too much for a daytime look, and going for a more subtle version of this timeless trend is a great option. Here’s how to achieve it!

  • Start off by applying a shimmerless base eyeshadow that’s as close as possible to your skin tone all over your eyelids, up to your brows. This will help you blend the next eyeshadows you use easily.
  • Use a slightly darker light brown across your whole lid and make sure to blend it out really well. If you would like to add some sparkle to your look, you can use a shimmery version of this hue.
  • To add dimension to your look, pick two brown matte eyeshadows that complement each other. Apply the lighter one to your crease and blend it really well, then apply the darker one on the outer corner of your eyes. Keep in mind that blending the eyeshadows really well will be the secret to your soft look!
  • Using an eyeliner brush, extend the darker eyeshadow along your upper and lower lash line and smudge it really well.
  • Use a champagne shade and lightly dab it onto the inner corner of your eyes to highlight and open up your look.
  • Finish off the look with a coat of brown mascara on your lashes to add length and volume. It’s the step that will make your look complete!
