Controlling Oil

Whether you have dry, oily or combination skin, chances are your T-zone gets a bit oily. Whether it’s powder or blotting sheets you use, we all try so hard to get rid of this oil and attempt to look matte and flawless. There is a pretty shocking way to control your oil by using, wait for it, oil. First things first; do you know why you get oily skin to begin with? It’s actually producing oil because it’s dehydrated. Shocking, I know. You would think that makes more sense for dry skin but think about it; your skin is begging for moisture, therefore producing the oil to quench its thirst, hence the embarrassment of oily skin. So, to remedy this, try adding a nourishing oil to your skin routine and in a few weeks, you will notice a significant reduction of surface oil. Personally, when I use any lotions or oils I always stay away from my nose because I don’t want to add to the oil. Just use a few drops and pat into your skin preferably at night. The one I’m trying out is the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate because everyone that uses it swears by it.
