Color Correctors

My makeup collection is not missing much, but if there’s one thing I can say I don’t have it’s a color corrector. I love flawless looking makeup, but I don’t like to pile on foundation every single day. I do go make up free most days just to let my skin breathe. But unfortunately, I don’t look very presentable without makeup because of my uneven skin tone; I have some dark spots along with some redness. I dream of Snapchat filter style skin, but I know it’s just not going to happen without some coverage. I’ve never really given color correctors a chance but I finally decided to dive in and look at my options.

BECCA Backlight Targeted Color Corrector is one with a light texture so it blends out almost into like a clear formula.

Dior Fix it Colour is another great one and I like it because you can easily apply it to a small problem area like a blemish to cancel out redness, or that blue vein you always try to cover up under your eye.

What shade do we need? Well the easiest thing to do is to google a color wheel. Let’s say you are trying to cover up redness, you look at red on the color wheel and whatever color is across, it is what you would use to cover it up. In this case green. Another really popular one is the orangey shade which is good for covering up any darkness under eyes. Just make sure you are blending out each step because you are using another layer of product and you want it to look smooth.
