Clean Shoes, Clean Mind

We all know a trick or two to keep our shoes clean – I mean, it’s not that hard considering the huge amount of cleaning detergents that have been surfacing lately. But have you ever thought about the inside of your shoes?

We know it’s a subject you probably are not very eager to tackle, but yes, running around in our shoes all day can induce dirty and smelly shoes. But there’s no need to feel bad about it; we’re all humans and we all sweat in our soles. Luckily, there are a few tips and tricks that can help prevent this not-so-lovely phenomena and we’re here to guide you through the process.

  1. Black stains are probably going to stick on the inside of your shoes – there’s no way around it. But if you want to avoid it, you can always use a shaped cloth inserts to avoid staining your shoes instead. Also, if you want to clean the dirt off, you can always use wet wipes.
  2. Whenever you’re not wearing your favorite pair of shoes, insert some perfumed sachets on the inside and let the good smell reign.
  3. Mix vinegar and water to prepare a solution that can put your worries to rest. What you can do here is dip a sponge into the solution and wipe the insoles of your shoes with it. Finish the process of by air-drying them for a while.
  4. You can also sprinkle the insides of your shoes with some baking soda after wearing them so as to remove the nasty smell.
