CHANEL Excels in Contradictions and Transparency

We first saw CHANEL’s J12 timepiece in the year 2000. At first, it was a black marvel that took everyone’s breath away, and later on an even more charming white version was released. This year, as the House celebrates the 20th anniversary of this amazing creation, it proudly presents the all new J12 Paradoxe and the J12 X-RAY. Two beauties that every watch enthusiast would die to have – just like any other J12 masterpieces. Now let’s get into the details!

The J12 Paradoxe – also available as J12 Paradoxe Diamonds – combines day and night, white and black, just like its name implies. It is made of two fused ceramic cases cut so delicately in different dimensions and assembled together by the CHANEL Manufacture in Switzerland to form one amazing casing. And with a sapphire case-back it becomes just perfect!

As for the making of the charming J12 X-RAY, CHANEL chose transparency, as if the watch is going through an X-ray for real. Its sapphire case displays the mastery of its fabrication and amazes us with the new movement the CHANEL Manufacture in Switzerland assembled. Plus, the J12 X-RAY is the first watch ever that has a strap made of links cut from raw sapphires. And to seal the deal, touches of diamonds complete this piece of heaven which is only available in 12 pieces.
