Rockin’ A Bodysuit

Cover Photo Courtesy of Net-A-Porter

The name itself is as sultry as a piece of clothing can get. A bodysuit is perhaps one of the most controversial numbers out there – some people might say it traces their body ever-so elegantly, why others might just claim they suffocate by the mere sound of it.

If you’ve been asking yourself if bodysuits are still a thing, then you probably already know the answer: yes, of course they are. We won’t want to drop names, but just look at Saint Laurent’s Spring 19 collection and you’ll understand what we’re saying. The tentative comeback that kick-started a few years back, was as successful as a comeback could get. The trend proliferated so bad that even the people in the “no bodysuits here” category were affected by the fashionable epidemic. And can you blame them really? Bodysuits look good on literally anyone, they put into sight a woman’s curves ever-so elegantly and feature a lot of styles. With Balmain, Alexandre Vauthier, Saint Laurent and Attico at the top of this game, one could only expect nothing less than pure fabulousness. See our favorite picks right here!

Shorts – Anywhere, Everywhere

When it’s hot and you can barely breathe from the heat, all you need to wear is your swimsuit and your flip-flops. But since social norms don’t condone such behavior – unfortunately – we found ourselves looking for clothes that minimize the impact of the writhing sun. One of said clothes is a good old pair of shorts that you can match with pretty much anything, a fancy blouse, a standard logo tee, sneakers, sandals, kitten heels, etc…

But the kind of shorts we’re talking about here is not your average denim shorts. No. It’s much more than that. We’re talking about the tailored shorts that can make you look classy and elegant even if you’re not wearing classic trousers. The kind of shorts that can refresh your wardrobe with ease and glamor. Thankfully, this season has brought upon high-waisted tailored shorts that can be easily matched with cropped top and matching sets.

From floral shorts to more classic patterns, we’ve rounded up the tailored styles you will definitely be needing right now.

It’s a Wonderful Birthday – Celebrating Charlize Theron

Cover Photo Courtesy of Getty Images

She’s tall, she’s blonde, she’s got the eyes of a tiger – yes, we said it – and she’s Hollywood’s little sweetheart. But beyond these obvious facts, there’s something about Charlize Theron that makes everyone go gaga about her. Could it be her immense success? Or is it her charming allure? Either way, the South-African actress is quite the iconic figure in the entertainment industry and has consequently collected quite a few awards from an Academy Award to a Golden Globe Award – amongst others.

And if there’s anything we love more than her exceptional role in the movie Snow White and the Huntsman, it’s her inimitable sense of style. Yes, she’s just not an incredible actress, but she also flaunts a fabulous flair for style – something we’ve come to notice on her countless red carpet appearances and of course, off the red carpet. Of course, her model-like features helped a lot, but we can’t say we’re not head over heels for her fashionable appearances at movie premieres, elitist events and international festivals.

So, care to celebrate this wonderful actress’ birthday with us? Join us as we take you on a lovely journey through her stylish looks.
