Cartier’s La Panthère, an Olfactory Classic Turning 5

A classic such as Cartier’s La Panthère perfume calls for a special celebration, or more like a limited edition. It’s a new brightly decorated bottle in which the French Maison chose to present this sultry, floral fragrance. The panther remains Cartier’s way to express femininity, which comes alive in a blend that brings together the animality of gardenia and the sensuality of a musky structure.

Created by Cartier’s perfumer Mathilde Laurent in 2014, this fragrance is the true embodiment of audacity as it was the one to reintroduce the legendary chypre with a feline-floral accord. Using the icon of the house, La Panthère is Cartier’s olfactory language that speaks to contemporary women.

First spotted on a Cartier watch from the 1914, the panther has been an endless source of inspiration for the house and inspired the first Cartier perfume in 1980. This comes as no surprise, knowing that the panther is the only animal that smells good naturally. All we can say is that you’re in for an iconic treat!
